StudentSymposium, 2025

NHH StudentSymposium

It is with great pleasure that we can finally present the theme for the NHH Student Symposium:

ECHO

In a time defined by rapid change, polarised debates and ever-evolving challenges, echo chambers have become one of the most influential phenomena in society. We live in a world where opinions are often reinforced rather than challenged, and where nuance is lost in the noise of social media, algorithms and political divides. Through this year’s conference we aim to shed light on how that dynamic affects individuals, society and business, and on how we can find solutions that foster dialogue, innovation and sustainable development.

We invite you to a conference by students, for students, designed to challenge, inspire and bring people together across disciplines, industries and backgrounds. The conference is built around three segments that take us through some of the most pressing questions of our time:

01

One’s Loss, Another’s Gain

Geopolitics and the rapid development of technology are creating new threats, and new opportunities. In this segment we look at how business is affected by international conflict and by the explosive growth of artificial intelligence and digitalisation. What happens when disinformation spreads faster than fact? And how can we, as a society and as individuals, prepare for a landscape where technology shapes every single decision?

02

Once Burned, Twice Shy

Society is in constant change, and with it the norms, roles and rights we take for granted. This segment turns the spotlight on gender, diversity, recruitment and quotas. How can we build an inclusive society that values freedom of expression, while balancing traditional values against the need for new thinking and representation?

03

Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained

In a world of high expectations and constant change, it can be hard to find your own drive. This segment looks at how we as individuals can handle adversity, build a resilient mindset and find what genuinely motivates us. How can we reflect on our own goals, dare to go our own way, and use our experiences, the good and the difficult alike, to create direction and growth?

Through ECHO we want to bring together students who want to step out of their comfort zones and challenge the mindsets that can stand in the way of progress.

By students, for students

We look forward to welcoming you to NHH. More information about tickets and the programme will be released continuously.
